Restaurant Kitchen Layout Plans
Restaurant kitchen layout plans are quite a bit different from residential kitchen plans. If you are about to open your own restaurant there are a few things to consider first.
Before you even begin to go through various restaurant kitchen layout plans, make sure that your space is entirely up to code. This means brining in the local fire inspector in order to scope out your area, and it may mean brining in a city building inspector as well. Although this step may be a pain, you don’t want to be slapped with a large fine following the building of your new kitchen. That said, there are lots of designs out there to choose from, though it will depend upon the type of place you intend to run.
As an owner, the best thing that you can do is to decide who your head chef will be, and then working with that person to go through the layout of the place. Why? Your head chef can tell you what sort of equipment you will need, and they will also be able to visualize the space at hand. While you may not know how much space is needed between the range and the plate stack, a head chef can figure this out without a problem.
Once you have gone through the space with your chef, bring in a designer in order to get all of the measurements right (very important). Then, you can go ahead with your restaurant kitchen layout plans. Now, when it comes to these blueprints, you have two options: find some free layouts on the Internet, or have designer draw up some original ones for you. Most of the time, the last option is the best one (custom is always a better idea).
After you have the plans, the area, and the entire space figured out, you can go ahead and start installing all of that new equipment (make sure to hire a professional installer!). Soon enough, you will have a gleaming new space that is just right for cranking out those gourmet meals.

Make sure to work with your entire team to get this project done, and you will have the perfect space in no time. Now, you just have to decide what color to paint the walls, how to install those tables, and (of course) what sort of food to serve...
